Project Blue, a privately funded effort to photograph alien worlds outside our solar system, has been Kickstarted on the popular fund raising platform with an initial goal to raise $1 million by December 21 of 2016. The project is focusing on Alpha Centauri, our closest stellar neighbor, and has an eventual goal of around $50 million to complete the project.
